Putting Books into Action:
Mind Psi Biotics as taught by Helen Bangs-Weygand includes the Huna teachings of the Kahunas as recovered by Max Freedom Long, as well as much more knowledge that Helen herself has learned from others and added her unique touch to share the information with her students.
Since I am a person who reads many books and has taken the Mind Psi Biotics class I would like to share a bit of knowledge that I picked up along the way.
It is very difficult to gain knowledge from a book and then put it into use. A person can read all of the books by Max Freedom Long, but does that then give them the knowledge to be a Kahuna? I believe not. Max in gaining his understanding of what he was learning started putting the knowledge into practice himself to determine what was required to achieve the miracles of the Kahunas. Then later Max started groups to further refine what knowledge he was uncovering of the Kahuna secrets. With feedback from the people who were also using the methods that Max was discovering he was able to further refine the knowledge of the Kahunas methods of healing, controlling the elements and their surroundings.
So for many of the readers, bookworms and students of esoteric knowledge and the mystery teachings who are reading book after book to increase your knowledge of the mysteries of life - all of this reading will not achieve the goal of becoming a shaman, mystic, kahuna, psychic, spiritual person, of person of great powers unless you take one important step that is required.
Put the knowledge into your daily use
That is you must start using the knowledge in a moment by moment manner. It must become a part of your life where it is used with each thought that you think and each breath that you take.
Otherwise you are just a mental book repository and you may be able to quote passage after passage from author after author. Until you put the knowledge to work you are nothing but a memory machine of what you have read. By putting the knowledge to work for you the powers you have read about then become real and can be a part of your life.
Let me use an example; in the Hogwarts Academy of the Harry Potter books did the students just read books about the magical arts? No, Hogwarts Academy was one where the magical arts were put into practice. So the students were trained by those who are highly skilled in the magic and mystical arts.
I was very blessed in being able to attend the Mind Psi Biotics classes as taught by Helen Bangs. Helen put knowledge together from many different sources, including the shaman knowledge of the Huna's, from the spiritual realm and the latest scientific knowledge was taught to the students. The students were taught the methods of using all of their minds so as to have control over distant healing and all parts of their lives including astral travel. The contact and use of the low self along with the high self was taught in using these methods.
I have not read any one book or series of books that gave me any one of these tools, much less learning all of these tools to create the life I want in a manner like I received from the experience of taking the class taught by Helen Bangs. The tools of creating magic were given in this class.
You may want to read my article on 'not using the tools' for my experiences of the time in my life when I got too busy to use the tools. I was enjoying wealth and a good relationship at that time and it just faded away out of my life. I rebuilt my life with a new set of goals and am now living a life of happiness and bliss. I believe I personally would choose the life of happiness and bliss over one of wealth. But why not enjoy both? I restarted with my new goal of following a path of being happy in life and it has not gotten in the way of creating a financially secure life. Although the main focus has remained on creating a life of happiness.
I'm fortunate to have and use my spirit guides and a strong basis of wanting to do good in life. Because this led me to rebuild my life continuing with the philosophy of 'do no harm'. With a primary goal of being happy.
What I want to achieve now is to be able to bring the skills and tools of being happy and enjoy prosperity to as many people as possible.
So as you read books to gain knowledge may I encourage you to also put your knowledge to use in practical ways. Create magic in your life and create good in the lives of those you love and others.
Allow free will and freedom of thinking and show the path to others by living a life of using the knowledge you have.
When your spirit guides give you a lesson follow it and learn from it. When the road of life gets bumpy don't get angry over the bumps. Learn to deal with the bumps and look forward to where this road will take you. This is your opportunity to make good choices in life. It is bad choices that allow the road of life to get bumpy or stay bumpy.
If you are using your spirit guides to make choices as you travel the road of life you will find that the trip quickly becomes pleasurable and the destination is only a resting place before you start off on another adventure of doing good in life.
So when reading to gain knowledge - put the knowledge into action in your life. Knowledge can and should be used to create the life you want to live. Quotes from books and other people are good to impress less knowledgeable people than yourself. A life well lived is much more impressive.

There are many other books by Max Freedom Long. These are a good start on his work.
Books Recommended by graduates of Mind Psi Biotics:
In 1972 Jess Stearn took a class taught by Alexander Everett in the San Francisco area. In this book Jess Stearn documents the teachings of Alexander Everett step by step.
I believe the reader will almost feel that they are in a class with Helen Bangs as they read this book. The teachings are so similar to each other with both training's sharing a similarity to the even earlier teachings of Jose Silva.
If you want to learn how to do Mind Control from a book then this is the book to read. This is a step by step guide to getting to the Alpha level of your mind and creating your own mental workshop with high self guides or assistants along with a mental screen to work with..
Mind Dynamics was a seminar company, founded by Alexander Everett in Texas in 1968. He later moved his headquarters to San Francisco. Mind Dynamics led to the founding of two other companies, EST and Lifespring.
Alexander Everett was the subject of Jess Stearn's book The Power of Alpha Thinking.
Alexander Everett wrote a book on the course he taught, entitled Inward Bound.
Everett authored and recorded two audio seminars, "The Genius Within You", and "Inner Wealth" with the Nightingale-Conant Corporation
Inward Bound: Living Life from the Inside Out by Alexander Everett
Jose first discovered the power of Alpha brain waves in 1953 while working with his daughter to increase her school grades she exhibited ESP while at the Alpha level. Jose Silva started teaching his methods of reaching Alpha and Mind Control shortly after this. Jose Silva has authored many books on this subject.
Jose Silva has been given the title 'teacher of teachers' because of the number of people who took his classes or worked for him and went on to develop their own unique training systems. Helen was trained by Jose Silva in the Silva Method.

Memories, Dreams, Reflections -
by C. G. Jung
Carl Jung -
by Joseph Campbell
This was the first book that I read that was written as a novel that incorporated spiritual wisdom with an engaging plot.
For me, one thing the story line demonstrated is that each person we meet may have a message for us, or we may have information that they need to find their path in life. If we listen to what people we interact with have to tell us we may use the information to find the path that we should be following. People will be in our lives briefly or for a longer time. Learn to listen to what others are telling us without a judgmental or a defensive filter and then put the information into action. We can also share with others what we intuitively feel will give them information to guide them on their own path. If you have the intuition that you should ask someone a question or that you should give them information that you have, give it in a loving manner - don't hold back. Let your high self intuition guide you.
Putting knowledge into action
Try this interaction with others of listening to what information they may have for you and discover what information pertaining to your life you will receive to guide you and also share what knowledge you may have with others that will be of benefit to them in finding and making the correct choices on life's path. Try living life with an open mind. Share your knowledge with others.
Often information that we need is filtered by the mind and judgments are made about the knowledge received and we don't accept the solution or "life path". High Self is trying to get information to us, be open and ready to act on it.
An example is - does the angry domineering person when told that this is not a beneficial action and that they would be happier by discarding their angry power actions hear the problem or see the solution - the better way to live? Usually they hear the problem, because they do not have any motivation to change. They do not want to hear the solution. How is change going to benefit them? They only know to be domineering. They don't see that harmony in life is the reward for change.
Learn to find power in harmony, not in angry forceful power. Forceful power is harmful. Power in harmony is beautiful, creative and healing.
Living a life of bliss and harmony is the reward for learning to release anger and develop an understanding of forgiveness.
When someone does or says something nice to you, do you stop what you are doing, look at them lovingly and say thank you? Do you do it each and every time or sometimes? How would others answer this question about you?
This book was first published in 1919, but it is still available on the internet or in bookstores. I will let you find out what the book is about for yourself, if you chose. This book has been the inspiration of many books that followed it by others.
I have a story about finding this book for myself. When I first heard about this book I decided that I wanted a first edition, since I enjoy collecting first editions. The next week I saw a first edition on Ebay and it sold for $485, what a surprise. I still wanted one so I decided that I would manifest one for two dollars. The following week I got a notice of 6000 books available at an estate sale of a well known psychic. I went to the estate sale and there was room after room of books. Hundreds of people there were scooping books into boxes and bags. I just went by intuition and would stop and find a book that interested me, never rushing, after being there for two and a half hours I came to an upstairs room and started going through the books there. I didn't even know what this book looked like, so I was taking my time looking at the titles, and if I was interested I checked the publication date. I found the book that I was looking for in a well picked over shelf of books. When I checked out after three and a half hours of looking I had 60 books at two dollars each, including the one that I had come looking for. It was a fun day for me. Lee Miller
"THE HOLY BIBLE FROM THE ANCIENT EASTERN TEXT" ALSO KNOWN AS PESHITTA
by George M. Lamsa
The Holy Bible as translated directly from the Aramaic (Syriac) text in 1957 - The translation was from the written scriptures in the original language of Jesus and his disciples by renowned scholar George Mamisjisho Lamsa.
The translator, George Lamsa, grew up in the Middle East speaking Aramaic, steeped in a culture with customs, manners, and language almost identical to those in the time of Jesus. These resources are all brought to bear on his life's work of translating the Aramaic Scriptures - called the Peshitta - into English.
Dr. Lamsa labored to eliminate errors that crept into the Bible through intermediary translations of the testaments into Latin and Greek. He corrected crucial mistranslations due to the confusion of letters and words by translators who approached the complexities of Aramaic grammar without the abilities of a native speaker. thus Matthew 6:13, which the King James Version translates "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil..." is rendered in the Lamsa translation "And do not let us enter into temptation, but deliver us from evil..."
Matthew 19:24, which the King James version translates as:
"And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God"
Lamsa corrects this to say:
"Again I say to you, It is easier for a rope to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."
The result is fresh, direct, and vigorous language; new clarity of confusing or contradictory passages; and a unique feel for idiom, image, and message fully in keeping with the spirit of the Old and New Testaments.
"The Peshitta is the only text through which we can ascertain the ancient Bible text," Lamsa asserts. Arguably, his translation of The Holy Bible is the most authoritative English rendering of the word and meaning of the original Aramaic text; as such it is of inestimable importance to readers of the Bible everywhere.
George M. Lamsa, a native Assyrian, was born in 1892 and was reared in that part of the ancient biblical land from which Abraham migrated to Palestine. Because his people were isolated for many centuries his people still know the Aramaic language and the ancient biblical customs very much like those that were used by Jesus and his contemporaries. Lamsa's people lived a simple pastoral life, and even today they speak in idioms and parables difficult for a Westerner to understand but are the same as were used in Jesus time.
George Lamsa began his study of the Scriptures in the Aramaic language under the teachers of his tribe. Then he was educated in the Archbishop of Canterbury's college in Persia and Turkey and after the First World War, in the Virginia Theological Seminary of Alexandria, Virginia.
In addition to being a translator, Dr. Lamsa was also a world traveler and noted lecturer. His translations from the Aramaic and comments on the scriptures aroused tremendous interest in both America and in Europe and continue to help countless readers and students to a better understanding of the Bible.
